JavaScript, DHTML, and CSS Resources

Sadly, the web is a barren wasteland when it comes to obtaining accurate, useful information about JavaScript, DHTML, and CSS.

We chose the resources listed below on the basis of merit. We have not made any type of "arrangements" with these sites/individuals in order for them to appear on this page.

  • BlueRobot.com : This is a CSS related website. It has not been updated for some time, but contains valuable information about supporting CSS across multiple platforms. We use the technique of centering HTML elements as described by their site.
  • Bookmarklets - Browser Power : Contains a useful collection of bookmarklets/favelets. Also has a great online tool for creating bookmarklets.
  • BrainJar.com : This website is useful for people who are learning JavaScript, DHTML, CSS, and other web programming technologies, or are already familiar with these technologies and want to see how a visionary can exploit them.
  • "JavaScript: The Definitive Guide, Fourth Edition" : This is an in-depth, thorough, technical, yet not difficult-to-read book about JavaScript by David Flanagan. We refer to it as "The Book." We think that anyone who takes JavaScript seriously should read this book.
  • QuirksMode : Excellent, authoritative information about JavaScript, and cross-browser differences.
  • The Script Asylum : Contains some of the best quality JavaScript scripts on the web.
  • WebFX : This website has a wealth of practical information about JavaScript and DHTML. It is easy to read and well maintained.
